Ontario Deer Hunting Season The Large White Tailed Deer Population In A Forest Reserve In Ontario Has Caused Concern About Overgrazing?

The large white tailed deer population in a forest reserve in Ontario has caused concern about overgrazing? - ontario deer hunting season

That could cause the spread of plants and animals are found there. Forest Management excessive deer population has decided to develop their natural predators, deer 1990.2000 wolf.in years living in the reserve and 10wolves introduction of this reserve has been transferred.

the data:
Years of white-tailed dear Lobos
1990 2000 10
1991 2300 12
1992 2500 16
1993 2360 22
1994 2244 28
1995 2094 24
1996 1968 21
1997 1916 18
1998 1952 19
1999 1972 19
a) The wolf predation in limiting the forest reserve? Explain your reasoning.
b). Explain how the number of wolves in the reserve is influenced by the size of the deer population.

Wolf robbery is not the limiting factor, as in 1997, wolf populations, but reduced the deer population has fallen further, rather than grow. In addition, in 1992 and increased the wolves, there was an increase in deer. This may mean that it is too much competition for food among the deer and grazing, as they are, the food is the limiting factor. BTW, deer are herbivores. The deer are slicers, while animal mowers are.

B) in general, because there are many deer, and digital is reduced in less than 30 and the population has stabilized, doubling the wolf population seems to have because of the unlimited food. However, predators, wolves will have to hunt a large space for the maximum amount of energy. (more space = more food). So, if the range of deer, wolves may have trouble finding food to have, even if its deer population.
